The [[MKS$]] function encodes a [[SINGLE]] numerical value into a 4-byte [[ASCII]] [[STRING]] value.

* [[SINGLE]] numerical variable values [[PUT]] into a [[BINARY]] file are automatically placed as an [[MKS$]] [[ASCII]] string value.
